Lazy Saturday...
Being lazy as usual on a Saturday
morning…woke up late. Thought of the fact that I had promised mom to take her
for a morning walk…Mom came with my bed coffee, asked the time, she replied
8:30…Still Soumi and baby are sleeping, as usual due to the exhaustion caused
by the “late to bed”. For the last three days, baby is also unwell, she is
disturbed for the whole night and crying…now she sleeps…Called Soumi, she just
nodded her head in half sleep. Still mom is in Kitchen, preparing breakfast,
idly and coconut chutney which I like the most…I just got up and took the
laptop, returned to bed to go through the headlines. Now only on Saturdays and Sundays
I am doing this, going through the e-newspapers. Even in my college days I used
to read the newspapers. Dad used to subscribe Pioneer for me, because that was
the low cost one which suited better for his income…no one used to read the
English newspapers except me, later on my sister used to…whenever I see the
pioneer newspaper I remember my dad and I miss him so much….
Got up, answered the nature’s
call, brushed my teeth, by the time soumi also got up and she was getting ready
to go out to get something…asked her what? She replied “Cerelac for baby”, oh I
don’t remember all these things…she never lets me know all these amidst of my
work pressure…she never even used to call during my office time, she says not
to cause any disturbances amidst my work….
By the time, she just kept the breakfast
for me on the floor, as I never used to sit on the dining table. As cannot bear
my scolding she also sat with me for breakfast…meanwhile I switched on the TV
and saw that the movie “Ustad hotel” was going on, watching it I enjoyed my
breakfast…each byte of it. Meanwhile speaking something on the arrangements for
our daughters first birthday. Unknowingly I looked at her face…my look stuck on
spectacles she is wearing…it is a bit damaged, especially one of the lens
corner is broken…she never told me that…she never bothered me for anything…this
makes my eyes wet…Let me take her to an optician for a new spectacles….
